Fall/Spring Staff and Summer Staff
Fall/Spring positions start in October and end in May with the possibility of extending into a summer position. Summer positions begin in early June and end in August. Staff will work alongside one another to create a high quality experience for clients. Summer staff will serve as counselors for each of the 4 one-week sessions of GOLS Adventure Camp, as well as have the opportunity to act as an assistant facilitator for additional summer programming. Summer staff will oversee and manage the delivery of camp programming, ensure emotional and physical safety, well-being, and personal-growth of campers. Fall/Spring staff opportunities include serving as a facilitator on our high and low challenge courses, representing GOLS at community events, and acting as an assistant facilitator on activity specific private programs such as kayaking, mountain biking, indoor rock climbing, environmental education, etc.   

1) Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years or older 
2) Enthusiasm for sharing the outdoors with people of all abilities
3) Experience working with youth in an outdoor settings is preferred4) Experience with high and low challenge course facilitation is preferred but not required
5) Applicants should possess a willingness to learn, positive attitude, ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic and challenging environment, possess strong communication skills, maturity, and act as an active and supportive team member in order to create a great overall experience for clients.6) CPR and First Aid Certified (WFA or WFR are preferred)

Internship This is a part-time seasonal internship. The GOLS intern will work with our clients utilizing a variety of activity specific skills including but not limited to group development, high/low challenge course, whitewater/flatwater kayaking, indoor rock climbing, mountain biking, and outdoor recreation skills. The intern will work alongside program staff to facilitate a variety of groups and activities.   
This position is blended with hands-on outdoor leadership experience and program development opportunities. The GOLS intern will be assigned specific projects that must be completed in conjunction to working with GOLS clients. 

1. The GOLS intern will develop, with the aid of the program director, an inventory and inspection system for all programmatic gear. 
2. The GOLS intern will create a new group development program proposal targeting athletic teams for teambuilding experiences. This will include development of program designs, marketing strategies, marketing materials, and identifying the target audience. 

1) Currently pursuing an outdoor related degree and in need of completing requirements for an internship
2) Enthusiasm for sharing the outdoors with people of all abilities
3) Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills
4) CPR and First Aid Certified (WFA or WFR are preferred)
5) Experience with high and low challenge course facilitation is preferred but not required
